The most common siding material by far here in the US is vinyl siding. Why is that? Well, for one thing, everyone loves getting a good deal, and vinyl siding is very cheap compared with most other siding materials. It is also fairly resistant to damage. You don’t have to worry about insects or woodpeckers, you don’t need to worry that it will rust, and it will not rot. You do have to be careful with extreme temperatures, however, since extreme heat can melt it and extreme cold can make it brittle, causing it to break when struck.
You do want to avoid keeping a grill or a fire-pit near your siding since that might be enough to melt it.
Vinyl siding is also very easy to install, and if you were to damage a panel, it is easy to replace as well.
You can see why vinyl siding is so common, and it definitely is a good choice for your home.
