If you were born and raised in South Carolina, you likely know a thing or two about some outstanding barbecue. However, a lot of folks are hesitant to do the grilling for themselves. Whether that’s true of you, or if you’re an old pro, we’ve got a few things to remind you of when it comes to safety on the grill that can help you to keep your property in good condition.
First, it’s very important to keep your grill in good condition between uses. It can be tempting after a good, filling meal to go back and scrape all that stuck-on food off of the cooking surface, or to empty out the grease tray. However, doing just that can help prevent dangerous flare-ups when you’re cooking the next time. Also, propane grills have some hoses and connections that can get damaged – it’s good to look after those.
Second, try to use your grill in an open area. It’s ok to store it in an enclosed space, but when you’re using it, try to avoid smoke or radiant heat damage to your property.
